RESIDENCY IN CYPRUS

If you are planning to get a residency in Cyprus, first you need a tourist visa on arrival in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus. If you are planning to buy any property or stay longer in North Cyprus, you must apply for a resident permit.

How to apply for a residency permit in North Cyprus

According to the Immigration laws of North Cyprus, You must represent in an immigration office with your passport. Residency permits are granted by the North Cyprus Department of Immigration in Lefkosa. The permit together with the passport will issue for a fee for the first year and a yearly renewal of your permit. A medical examination is also required.

Temporary residency permit in North Cyprus

In order to apply for a temporary residency permit in North Cyprus, you need to submit a written application form with the passport.  Next, you need to obtain a Residence’s Certificate from the tax office in North Cyprus. You must provide following documents.

• A certified passport copy
• The contract/deed of your house
• A bank statement, pensions pay out document

Once you have obtained a Residency Certificate from the tax office you need to undergo a medical examination at a hospital. After that, you will obtain a receipt for medical examination. Then you have to collect the report within two weeks. Then you have to gather following documents with the sealed medical report you got.

You need to prepare the following documents.

• A certified passport copy
• Contract/Deed of your house
• Bank statement
• Six photos (passport size photos)
• Receipt from the clinic

Permanent residency permit in Turkish Republic of North Cyprus

You need to prove following requirements in order to apply for a permanent residency permit.

• Owned property details in North Cyprus. (Any property that you own in North Cyprus)
• Your regular income
• Retirement documents
